This flower is sometimes mistaken for an orchid. The name Fringed Polygala, which is Latin, translates.... poly : many or much, and gala : milk. It was believed that this plant had compounds that increased milk supply in nursing humans and animals, such as cows. I didn't find anything that still supported this theory, so I am thinking it is not so. The second photo I included, because, if I truly was a wild bee..... I would like to be a bee that looked like that.Where I found it : In the woods
